hi pepper im mark from england, im currenly studying arts and humanities at nottingham uni england, trying to get a little more insight into the western cannon. much of my earlier studies has been based on the rennaisance, the historian, vasari and the connections with art, north of the alps along with the advent of oil,

but im a little of a gauguin man myself and ive enjoyed spending sometime in issan painting the rice fields and the locals, wow the humidity mosquitos and the kindness of the issan people really gets you into the mood and atmosphere of the place.

i hope your b@b is succesful, im planning to open a small retreat myself for those artists who want to experience a very simple taste of issan, what is so good about the place is that the tourist tend to stay well clear and so there is still much traditional culture to absorb. take care and it would be nice to sample the taste of tuscany at some stage.
